Whole Home Repiping

When a home's supply lines are failing in more than one spot, patching each leak as it appears stops making sense. Repiping replaces the aging plumbing throughout the house with durable new lines, all at once.

What This Service Covers

Whole home repiping replaces the supply lines that carry water throughout your house — not the drain lines, but the pipes bringing water to your fixtures. This is usually the right call when the existing piping material is failing broadly: recurring leaks in different locations, discolored water, or piping made from older materials known to degrade over time.

We'll walk the house, assess what's currently installed, and lay out a plan before any work begins, including how much disruption to expect and roughly how long it will take.

What's Included

  • Assessment of existing piping material and condition
  • A plan for routing new supply lines through the home
  • Replacement of supply lines throughout the house
  • Coordination on wall and floor access, and what needs patching afterward
  • Pressure testing of the completed system

What to Expect

Repiping is a bigger project than most plumbing calls, so we start with a walkthrough and an honest conversation about scope, timeline and cost. Depending on the size of the home, the work can take a few days. We'll talk through how water service will be handled during that time, since most projects allow us to keep at least partial water access available while work is underway.

When to Call Us

Call if you've had pipe leaks in more than one location, notice discolored or rust-tinted water throughout the house, have persistently low water pressure that isn't tied to one fixture, or know your home has older galvanized or polybutylene piping. Any one of these is worth a look; more than one usually points toward repiping over repeated patching.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about whole home repiping.

How long does a repiping project take?

It depends on the size of the home and how the plumbing is routed, but most projects take a few days. We'll give you a specific estimate after walking the property.

Will I be without water during the work?

We aim to keep at least partial water service available for most of the project and will walk you through exactly what to expect for your specific home before work begins.

What pipe material do you use?

We'll recommend the material that best fits your home's layout and your priorities, and explain the tradeoffs before you decide.

How do I know if I need a full repipe or just a repair?

If failures are isolated to one spot, a repair is usually enough. If you're seeing leaks in multiple locations, discolored water, or house-wide pressure problems, that pattern points toward repiping. We'll give you an honest read after assessing the home.
